CAN CBD OIL HELP WITH ANXIETY?

How I Used CBD Oil For Anxiety During The 2020 Lockdown

The recurrent lock down, working, studying and trying to have some sort of social life has quite frankly been overwhelmingly, overwhelming. Where did I sign up for this because I do not recall!? Like most generally upbeat and “normal” millennials, I would not label myself as someone with anxiety. That’s for the people with problems right? So why on earth have I been feeling so anxious? The anxiety I feel manifests itself in subtle ways; mostly with a general feeling of not being quite centered, perpetual overthinking and the old charmer of insomnia - going to bed at 11pm and Finally drifting off to sleep hours later cannot be normal.

CAN CBD OIL HELP WITH ANXIETY?

I had heard about the calming and relieving effects of CBD oil but to be honest, 1) I didn’t think I was a typical candidate for its benefit and 2) most people who raved about CBD weren’t exactly strangers to her cousin tetrahydrocannabinol, THC, aka Mary Jane - so I was not super convinced.

In the autumn of 2020, I found myself juggling many things. I was studying for a professional exam, working a full time job and surviving Tier 4 London lock down. Surviving Tier 4 could be a use case all on its own! When the folks at Aja Kush sent a bottle of TRIP to try, I wasn’t really sure how or when I had to use it, and even if it worked to treat anxiety. As I was studying almost everyday, I was advised to use it to help with my alertness and concentration. I started off with taking a dose at the beginning of each of my revision sessions. The difference I felt was subtle but significant. Even after a long workday, my mind was just focused. I was not zoned out, nor did I feel any sort of high, but I was very much calmer and less distracted. The TRIP drops just made it easier for me to study productively and significantly reduced my procrastination.

CBD HELPING TO RELIEVE ANXIETY

Above help with studying, CBD has helped me with the general anxiety I have been experiencing of late. I know I said I didn’t have any problems but the pandemic is definitely a problem. The life we are living is not normal and it is definitely not normal for me to have anxiety attacks. However, in December, without any conscious stimuli, that is exactly what I had - a moderate but menacing anxiety attack. As the panic attack began, my mind was racing; I was just thinking WTF is going on and where the hell did this come from? Trying to hyperventilate quietly so my housemate wouldn’t hear, I paced around the room trying to stop this foreign attack. I then remembered there was a CBD vape pen (another gift I’d been sent) in the living room, and after four large inhales and a few moments, the panic attack was over. I climbed into bed and within ten minutes, I was fast asleep. Success. Mental health intact. The next morning, still none the wiser to the catalyst of the previous night’s event, I was fine.

I LOVE CBD!

CBD is just great! I feel pretty late to the party, but better late than never is my thinking. The research backs up not only my friends who have been raving about CBD long before me, but also speaks to my experiences. There is strong scientific evidence to show that CBD can help with pain relief, anxiety and depression, nausea, and migraines. One study found that a single dose of 600 milligrams (mg) of CBD decreased anxiety in people about to give a public speech. In addition, people who took 25 mg daily of CBD for a month reduced their anxiety and had better quality of sleep, the effect lasted for several months. Research has also shown its effectiveness on even more severe issues such as epilepsy, seizures, inflammation & social anxiety disorder.

I’m not ashamed to say I am a CBD skeptic turned convert. It’s not something I use daily but it’s definitely my go to when life hits me out of the blue, which seems to be quite often in this pandemic. I really like the vape pen and have been using it with Pro Acan CBD e-liquid oil. I use the pen when I feel a random bout of anxiety or just want to feel that little bit calmer, such as after a stressful meeting or before a daunting task. I find it can be effective within a few moments and I can just get on with my day. I use the TRIP oil when working or studying and I just want an extra concentration aid.

CONCLUSION: CBD HELPED WITH MY ANXIETY

In summary, I can say with close certainty that if you’re reading this and you're experiencing any level of lockdown blues, CBD will help you feel better while you adapt and deal with this new normal. To be clear, I’m not trying to suggest that CBD will cure all of your problems but feeling less bad is better than feeling bad. If you’re fortunate enough to not be in a lockdown or a pandemic by the time you read this, but life is getting at you, CBD can help.

It’s a great stress relief aid and definitely helps to ease anxiety. My advice is simple, try it and thank me later.
